One of the best things about winter in Kashmir is the snow. Kids can’t wait to grab their sleds and slide down the hills. Imagine zooming down a hill and feeling the breeze on your face! You might even accidentally tumble into a soft pile of snow—just like my friend did last year. He stood up with snow all over his coat and looked like a snow monster. We all laughed so much!
Kashmir is also famous for its delicious winter foods. People enjoy tasty dishes like Rogan Josh, Yakhni, and hot, steaming cups of Kahwa, which is a special tea. My grandmother makes it like a wizard, adding spices that make it smell amazing! After playing in the snow, sipping hot Kahwa feels like a warm hug.
